C#/.NET Developer – Chicago

Position Description

Keyhole is looking for a Windows .NET/ C# developer for our Chicago consulting team. This person is a software developer with at least 5 years development experience, with knowledge of the full software development life cycle with a good understanding of the processes.

The position is a standard 8 hours per day, 5 days per week role. The position is located in the Northern Suburbs of Chicago with no travel required.

Technical Requirements

  • Strong Development experience in the areas of C#/.Net Framework features such WPF, Win Forms, WCF Services and SQL Server 2008
  • Electronics manufacturing related experience
  • Development experience in C++ is a big plus
  • Agile methodologies and practices
  • Experience with development of real-time based systems using distributed computing across various systems, Client / Server systems
  • Experience with object-oriented design and programming techniques
  • Experience with object oriented analysis, use case analysis, performance analysis, Object modeling and database schema design, database objects, etc
  • Should be conversant with the Application architectures, N- Tier, MVC designs, Design patterns, etc
  • Develop system unit test plans, ensure software quality assurance (SQA) standards are achieved and validate that business goals are accomplished
  • Develop detailed estimates for projects and timelines
  • Create detailed design plans for the given requirements and then make technical decisions to meet the design goals
  • Experience with source code control systems such as Clear Case, Visual SourceSafe & SVN

Command of the following skills:

  • Machine communication protocol (Pana-Protocol, Panacim)
  • Statistical process control
  • Optimization of algorithms for pick up/placement parts
  • Understanding of legacy machine interface communication protocols
  • Ability to design augmented reality using Geospatial techniques to optimize machine performance
  • Ability to design algorithm for large-scale distributed data processing

Other Requirements

  • Should have at least a Bachelor’s degree
  • Ability to work effectively with, and support the needs of, project team members, SQA, and the customer support department
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Creative problem solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and without much guidance

Other Information

  • Wage range of $60.00 to $65.00 per hour for 1099 employment
  • Long-term role with Keyhole Software of Leawood, Kan., working in the Northern Suburbs of Chicago on our client’s site
