As organizers of the new official Hyperledger Kansas City Meetup, the Keyhole Software team is excited to host the second meetup of the group.

This meetup group discusses all topics related to Hyperledger blockchains. The group seeks to provide an opportunity for Kansas City professionals to network with others who are interested in, or working with, Hyperledger blockchain networks.

Hyperledger is an open source collaborative effort created to advance cross-industry blockchain technologies. It is a global collaboration hosted by The Linux Foundation including leaders in finance, banking, Internet of Things, supply chain, manufacturing, and technology. Hyperledger Fabric is a blockchain framework implementation and one of the current eight Hyperledger projects hosted by The Linux Foundation. 

Make sure to join the Hyperledger Kansas City Meetup Group to ensure you receive invitations to all upcoming blockchain events. All Kansas City Hyperledger meetup events will free to attend (with RSVP) and will be held at the Keyhole Software offices in Leawood, Kansas.

Overview

Join us for the second event of the new Kansas City Hyperledger meetup group!

Attend for an in-depth introduction to chaincode with Hyperledger Fabric. Hyperledger Fabric a general purpose blockchain framework that allows groups and consortiums to share data securely and with providence.

This presentation will introduce and demonstrate the following concepts:

  • Implementing and Testing Chaincode
  • Installing and Executing on a Channel
  • Versioning Chaincode

Agenda:

5:30 – 6:00 PM – Doors open. Social Hour with food provided by Keyhole Software.
6:00 PM – Welcome. Presentation by David Pitt begins.
7:00 PM – Wrap-up + Q&A

Who Should Attend:

  • Individuals who are interested in or active in the space blockchain application use cases and tools.
  • Architects and developers who want to know how to design and write their own blockchain networks or decentralized applications.
  • Individual contributors, or leaders of teams who will actively be contributing to the Hyperledger project.

Speaker Bio:

David Pitt is a Sr. Solutions Architect and a Managing Partner of Keyhole Software. With more than 25 years of IT experience, David has spent the last 15 years leading and mentoring development teams utilizing Java and .NET technologies.

He is the author of numerous technical articles and a co-author of a popular IBM book that documents some of his architecture design patterns. Recent projects involve speaking, writing, and training developers in enterprise Blockchain technology & JavaScript development best practices.
