Keyhole Consultants are currently leading an initiative at a large financial services firm to move a large, monolithic, legacy application running in the organization’s “on-premise” data center, to a microservice-based suite of applications running in the “cloud.” The application is being iteratively moved to containers, orchestrated by Kubernetes in the AWS Cloud.

The effort was centered on developing a more agile environment including process, practices, and technology choices, with the goal of cultivating a DevOps culture.

A Keyhole Consultant was brought in to directly work with the clientโ€™s full-stack development team. The goal of the project was to help the client implement new features for their application. This resulted in the implementation of a new GraphQL API and architecture for multiple interdependent systems. Keyhole Software was responsible for coaching the clientโ€™s development team in React best-practices, and working with them to refactor the code to align with those best practices.

Feature Addition: Mobile Push Notifications with AWS SNS

Keyhole consultant was engaged in an effort to implement a push notification solution for an existing mobile banking application.

To begin, Keyhole reviewed the application requirements to determine the best service to use moving forward. After the evaluation of Twilio and Amazon Web Services Simple Notification Service, the team concluded AWS SNS was the best solution.

Under an aggressive 6-week deadline, a four-person Keyhole Software Consulting team was charged with delivering functionality to the first phase of a capital asset planning application for an international engineering consulting firm.

Deliverables included ensuring all UI controls displayed properly on mobile devices, application functionality in offline mode, and seamless integration with the working application.
