For this project, Keyhole Software worked with a large healthcare system to significantly enhance an existing application. The application is an effort to provide streamlined care through secure care management and provider information access. Essentially, the application put all entities withing the organization in sync, allowing them to work together to provide quality patient care.
Technologies
- Ruby for automated messaging bot development
- C#.NET for back-end integration
- JavaScript, CSS, and HTML5 for front-end development
- Backbone.JS to develop a JavaScript Model-View-Whatever (MV*) architecture
- JQuery, Lodash, Handlebar.JS, Moment.JS
New Features and Enhancements
Automated Messaging Bot
Keyhole consultants worked with existing software from Conversa to add a text messaging bot to the application. The team added a feature that allows automated post-discharge follow-ups and identifies at-risk patients, which helps to provide a better care experience for patients.
The messaging bot was built in Ruby, and the Keyhole team integrated it into the application using C#.NET. The automated messages were programmed to follow the FHIR standard.
Patient Demographics Portal
The goal of this feature was to provide users with a clear, intuitive system to input and track critical patient demographics data. Keyhole consultants designed and implemented a front-end and UI with JavaScript, CSS, and HTML.
Additionally, the team worked to create custom, reusable Backbone.JS classes. This feature allows the development team to utilize a JavaScript Model-View-Whatever (MV*) architecture, which significantly augments the efficacy of the application. The project included extensive work in .NET technologies, HTML5, Backbone.js, jQuery, Lodash, Handlebars.js, and Moment.JS.
